The Colt .45s will end this seven-game road trip with a four-game series in Milwaukee against the Braves. The Colt .45s ended an eleven-game losing streak last night and are 1-2 on this road trip. The Braves have won six of their last eight. The Braves lead the season series 3-0.

In the top of the third, Buddin scored the game's first run when Mejias grounded into the 5-3. Spangler would score on a sacrifice fly from Aspromonte.

Johnson had a no-hitter through three.

In the top of the fourth, a run-scoring double by Buddin increased the Colt .45s lead.

McMillan led off the bottom of the fifth with a single to break up the no-hitter. Tommie Aaron brought McMillan home with a double.

In the top of the seventh, the Colt .45s loaded the bases with one out. On an 0-1 pitch, Taussig sent the ball 374 feet to right for a grand slam.

Lew Burdette took the mound for the Braves in the top of the eighth.

In the bottom of the eighth, Jones scored when Hank Aaron grounded to first.

Don Nottebart took the mound for the Braves in the top of the ninth.

The Colt .45s got 13 hits to secure their second straight win.
