In the bottom of the first, Mejias gave the Colt .45s the lead with an RBI single.

In the top of the second, McMillan tied the game with an RBI double. Tommie Aaron brought McMillan home with a single to give the Braves the lead.

In the top of the third, Bolling's second triple of the game scored Mathews from first. Crandall then brought Bolling home with a two-out single.

In the bottom of the third, the Colt .45s loaded the bases withnobody out. Spangler beat out the 5-4-3 and Johnson scored from third.

In the top of the fifth, Adcock scored from third when Mathews grounded into the 4-6-3.

After six: Milwaukee 5 Houston 2.

Maye led off the top of the seventh with a home run.

Jim Golden took the mound for the Colt .45s in the top of the ninth. Hank Aaron scored from third on a wild pitch.

The Braves had 11 hits in the game.
