Walkers news: May 1 -- St. Louis 5, Quad City 3

Rhys Hoskins tagged Quad City closer Craig Kimbrel for a three-run, pinch-hit homer with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the St. Louis River Walkers to a 5-3 win at Busch Stadium.

Kingery moved to third on a Meibrys Viloria followed with another single. A sacrifice fly from Blake Rutherford chase him home.
Kimbrel retired the lead-off hitter in the bottom of the ninth, but gave up singles to Manny Pina and Adeiny Hechavarria before Hoskins blasted a 3-1 pitched 407 feet into the bleachers in left-center.
St. Louis starter Trevor Bauer put together five shutout innings, before allowing Quad City's first run in the sixth.
He exited after that inning, after allowing the one run on three hits. He struck out seven and walked two.
