Walkers news: April 15 -- St. Louis 10, Cedar Rapids 1

Record: 6-3, 1st, Tied with Springfield

St. Louis pitcher Kyle Hendricks had a big day on the mound and at the plate as the River Walkers routed Cedar Rapids 10-1 at Busch Stadium.
With the win, the Walkers took the final two games of their opening home three-game series.
On the mound, Hendricks went seven innings, allowing just one run on one hits, while striking out 11 and walking three.
With the bat in his hand, Hendricks was 2 for 3 with a homer and two RBIs.
His two-run homer off Michael Kopech in the third inning capped a four-run inning and gave St. Louis a 6-0 lead.
The Walkers really unleashed the long ball in this game, as in addition to Hendricks' blast, it got a pair of home runs from Ender Inciarte to go with four-baggers from Nicky Delmonico and Tucker Barnhart.
Reliever Reyes Moronta handled the final two innings for St. Louis, not giving up a run.
