In the top of the ninth, with a runner on first and one out, Horacio Pina took the mound for the Rangers. Pinch hitter George Hendrick belteda three run homer 396 feet.

Aurelio Monteagudo took the mound for the Athletics in the bottom of the ninth.

The Athletics pounded out 12 hits while the Rangers committed three errors in the game.
