Minnesota Wild (3-4-0) at Montreal Canadiens (10-0-0)

The Canadiens continue on a incredible start to the 1983-84 season coming out of the gate with 10 straight wins. Montreal continues to win despite a less then stellar PP. Montreal ranks 24th in the NHL with a 9.8% success rate. The Canadiens have been good on the PK though, we have killed 93.2% of our penalties for the 6th best rate in the NHL.

Today we highlight C Ben Archer, the 21 year old from Toronto, ON. He is still considered a prospect and is a offensive forward. Montreal opens the scoring just 1:11 into the game and maybe highlighting him before the game was lucky for him, C Ben Archer gets his 1st of the year to make it 1-0. The Wild tie it up at 13:10 when LW Jean-David Blais gets his 1st of the year and its 1-1. Montreal goes up 2-1 when C Bryce Spencer gets his 5th of the year at 18:16. Montreal takes a 3-1 lead at 15:03 in the 2nd period when LW Robert Henriksson gets his 2nd of the year. Montreal out shot Minnesota 6 to 5 in the tight checking 2nd period.

Montreal completely dominate the 3rd period, but their was no scoring and Montreal grabs win number 11. The shots were 19 to 2 in the 3rd period for Montreal for a game total of 32 to 16 in favour of Montreal. Both teams were 0 for 2 on the PP.
