Danny Duffy pitched seven shutout innings and Michael Conforto provided the game's only run with a home run off Evansville starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija in the fourth inning, as the St. Louis River Walkers defeated the Big Bosseman 1-0 at Yankee Stadium.
With the win, the River Walkers took two of three in the series in Evansville.
Duffy allowed six baserunners, allowing four hits while walking two. He struck out six.
Conforto's 360-foot home run came on the third pitch of the fourth inning.
Daniel Hudson pitched both the eighth and ninth innings for St. Louis -- he walked one but allowed no hits -- to earn his first save of the season.
