Walkers news: May 3 -- St. Louis 7, Quad City 4

Record: 16-8, 1st, 3 GA Des Moines

Michael Conforto powered a 3-2 pitch from Quad City's Luke Gregerson 408 feet into the right-field seats for a three-run homer in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the St. Louis River Walkers a 7-4 win over the Thunder at Busch Stadium.
With the victory, the Walkers took two of three from the Thunder. Both wins coming via walk-off homers, Michael Conforto hit a walk-off in the ninth inning of the opener to give St. Louis the win.
For the third straight game, the Walkers led early only to have Quad City come back to tie it.
This time, St. Louis was up 4-2 only to have the Thunder score once each in the sixth (solo homer from Lucas Duda) and seventh (Wil Myers RBI single) to even it.
St. Louis starter Kyle Hendricks went 5.1 innings, allowing three runs, before exiting.
Six relievers followed him to the mound -- Grant Dayton (0.2 IP), Phil Maton (0.1), Reyes Moronta (1.2), Tony Gonsolin (2.0), Daniel Hudson (1.1) and Luis Gohara (0.2) -- with Gohara getting the win.
Gohara is the scheduled starter for the Walkers next game, but obviously will have to skip his turn through the rotation.
Duda hit two homers for the Thunder, both solo shots off Hendricks.
