Bobby Del Greco, who played outfielder for the 1952 and 1956 Pittsburgh Pirates, has passed away at the age of 86. He debuted in the majors just days after his 19th birthday and hit .217 in 99 games for the 1952 Pirates. He then spent three seasons in the minors before returning to the Pirates briefly in 1956. In May of that year, he was part of a trade to acquire Bill Virdon from the St Louis Cardinals. Del Greco played a total of nine seasons in the majors, seeing time with six different teams.Bobby Del Greco is the youngest player to homer in Pirate history he was 19 years, 63 days on June 9, 1952.
