1960: Don Landrum's marathon 168 game season

Don Landrum played a marathon 168 games in 1960. With the Phillies AAA affliliate at Buffalo of the International league
he played 155 games. Then he was acquired in a deal by the St. Louis Cardinals in a Sept.19 deal with the Phillies.
The Cardinals instantly promoted him and used the 24-year old outfielder in 13 games, practically all of their remaining
games. Throw in 25 or so Spring training exhibition games and Landrum probably played a total of 195 games that year.
Landrum hit .234, with 12 home runs in 458 major league games with the following teams:
1957 Phillies; 1960-1962 Cardinals; 1962-1965 Cubs, 1966 Giants.
He was supposedly going to be Richie Ashburn's successor - the next Phillies Center Fielder,
but with Don's lack of hitting that didn't pan out.
