Today is the second game in the series in San Francisco between the Colt .45s and the Giants. The Colt .45s have lost six straight. The Giants have won five of their last six.

In the bottom of the first, Pagan put the Giants on the board with an RBI single.

In the top of the second, Amalfitano tied the game with an RBI single.

In the top of the third, Mejias hit a solo home run to put the Colt .45s in the lead.

In the bottom of the third, a sacrifice fly from Mays tied the game again.

After three: Houston 2 San Francisco 2.

In the bottom of the fourth, Bailey scored on a wild pitch and the Giants had regained the lead.

In the top of the fifth, with a runner on first and two out, Dick LeMay took the mound for the Giants.

In the bottom of the fifth, Davenport beat out the 6-4-3 to allow McCovey to score from third. The Giants then loaded the bases with two out. Pinch hitter Matty Alou hit a two run single.

Jim Duffalo took the mound for the Giants in the top of the sixth.

After a leadoff walk in the bottom of the sixth, Dean Stone took the mound for the Colt .45s. Pagan went on to score from third when McCovey grounded to second.

After six: San Francisco 7 Houston 2.

Stu Miller took the mound for the Giants in the top of the eighth.

In the bottom of the eighth, with a runner on first and one out, Dave Giusti took the mound for the Colt .45s. The Giants went on to load the bases with one out. Cepeda then brought all three home with a double.

In the top of the ninth, pinch hitter Ernie Fazio hit an RBI single.

The two teams combined for 22 hits in the contest.

Final score: San Francisco 10 Houston 3.
