STANDINGS AS OF 2030-31 TRADE DEADLINE:
WHA to expand by 4 teams? 2/1/30, 1 PM EST
Rumors are going around that the WHA might include the 3 remaining ECHL teams, plus another team in Saskatoon in this upcoming wave of expansion. Apparently the WHA wants to do this to tend to more recent expansion bids that have come in. If they do decide to do this, the league will jump from 16 to 20 teams. Also, there might not be any expansion for at least 4 years to avoid severely diluting talent.
