After the rest day, it was back to Rogers v. Na. East Driftwood were two wins away from clinching the title and they were hoping that Rogers would be able to bring them within one.
Two stolen bases by Rich Welch allowed him to score from third on a deep flyout to give West Driftwood the lead in the top of the first. However, East Driftwood would tie the game in the bottom of the inning. Then began West Driftwood’s domination of the game. They scored five runs in the fourth as Na and rookie Antonio Ozuna kept a firm lid on East Driftwood. It was a bad day for Rogers, who gave up seven runs on seven hits as wind completely left East Driftwood’s sails and left them drifting in the doldrums.
W: C. Na (2-1) L: S. Rogers (0-3)
