Very nice presentation. The 1974 Yankees were a team I lived and died for. Hard to remember when the Yankees were underdogs, but after the 1960s mediocrity, and the trial run of 1972 which was 99% Sparky Lyle (does anyone else remember that when we got Celerino Sanchez, Yankees fans chanted "de-fense ! de-fense" at the Stadium that year?), we suddenly were in first place on September 1 in 1974. Then came that awful three-game series with Baltimore, George Scott's game-winning hit for Milwaukee on the last day of the season, and ...wait till 1976. But it is nice to think about what might have happened had just three games gone differently that year. Thanks.
