As long as this feature from FHM14 still remains, you should just be able to set the Games vs Conference Teams to 82 and then generate a new schedule and save from that screen. The game then generates a schedule where you play only teams within the same conference. I've tested it, it works. You can even limit that to games only against the teams division. The options already exist for this.
