It was close early but then the SJL took over and ended up with an easy 10-3 victory in front of the partisan fans at Sunoco Field at the Old City in Philadelphia.
As far as Brewers contributions went, the biggest impression was made by 24-year old catcher Zacarias Martell, who went 2 for 2, scored twice, hit a double, and threw out the only runner who challenged him on the base paths. He was named the #3 star of the game for his efforts.
Sadahige Kawasaki, unfortunately, was not as impressive, giving up the first 2 SJL runs in his one inning pitched.
Andrew Kennedy played the entire game and did collect 1 hit, which scored teammate Martell, but he also stranded 4 runners in the game, including hitting into a double play to end the game.
Joe McPhillips was hitless in 2 at-bats with one ending in a swinging strikeout, and RodRod was also 0 for 2.
