The Atlanta Braves have suspended SP Tom Kelley one game for showing up at the ballpark 30 minutes late.

In the bottom of the fourth, the Angels loaded the bases with nobody out. May added an RBI single. Alomar lined to second for the first out. Spencer then scored on a wild pitch. Stephenson scored when Pinson grounded to third.

Mike Paul took the mound for the Rangers in the bottom of the sixth.

After six: California 7 Texas 0.

In the top of the eighth, Tom Murphy took the mound for the Angels with a runner on first and two out and needed just one pitch to retire the side.

In the bottom of the eighth, Pinson laced a two run double. Stanton added an RBI single.

The Angels totalled 12 hits in the game.
