Regular Season | End Stats| Outlook:

Players
(+) Kolvalchuk's completed all 82 games this season recording: 24 Goals, 45 Assists for 69 Points. He has been held off the score sheet his last 4 games, recording his last 2G and 1A back on March 31 against Tampa Bay. Despite the last few games, Kolvalchuk's been an offensive threat for this team since returning to the NHL and proved he could still compete at this level. He also recently extended his contract to play another season with the Halton Hills Elite Bulldogs.

(+) Brandon Saad was required at the trade deadline when GM Terence Baker decided he wanted to make a push to the playoffs. Columbus being at the bottom of their conference, decided to part ways with the RW to begin rebuilding for the next season. Saad recorded 27 Goals, 22 Assists for 29 Points in 62 Games with the Blue Jackets before being traded March 1st. Since being with the Bulldogs, he was a huge addition to the first line (paired with Kolvalchuk & Andrew Shaw). He played 13 games recording 6 Goals, 13 Assists and 19 Points. (Finished the season with 75 games played between Columbus and Halton Hills finishing with: 33 Goals, 35 Assists for 68 Points).

(+) James Neal has to be the most reliable points getter on the squad. He finished the season with 39 games with the Elite Bulldogs recording: 24 Goals, 15 Assists for 39 Points (Finished the season with 75 Games played between Nashville and Halton Hills collecting: 37 Goals, 25 Assists for 62 Points). Neal was also a key factor having the most Game winning Goals on the team with 6 and tailing the most Short Handed Goals with 3 collected.

(+) Defensively we had a huge season by all our guys. One name that stuck out though was Marco Scandella. The LD collected the most point this season for a defenseman this season. He played in all 82 games collecting 11 Goals, 31 Assists for 42 Points while only 18:48 minutes a game (5th for time averaged by the defensive core".

(Overall) Obviously not the best in the NHL in the Power play department, but they excelled in the Penalty Killing, and finished as the 7th most active scoring team. They came together with the entire roster and have the playoffs to look forward to. Not much else you could have asked for at the end of the season.

Goalies
(+)Steve Mason ended the season on a positive note. Starting 64 games this season, Mason managed to record 38 Wins, 21 Loses and 5 Overtime Loses. He faced 1866 Shots on Goal and only allowing 154 goals (2.41 GAA and SV% of .917) and had 6 shutouts this season.

Among Goalie Stats Leaders: Mason is 8th in wins this season, 4th in Save %, 9th in Shutouts, and 7th in Goals Against Average.

(+)Al Montoya's only seen 3 games through the stretch of march 1st to April 9th. Not because of his play, but because Mason's hot streak where they went on a 10-0 streak. Besides that, Montoya was key all season when called on to give Mason a rest. He finished the season with 10 Wins, 7 Loses and 1 Overtime Lose. (Last 3 games he went 2-0-1). He faced 467 on the season allowing 42 in (GAA: 2.27 and SV% of .910) and recorded 2 shutouts this season.

(Overall) Goalies were the key factor all season. Without their performances throughout the season, the Halton Hills Elite Bulldogs would probably not be in the playoffs this season.
