The last place Detroit Falcons have lost six straight games and all the losing is taking a toll on team morale.
Team captain Greg Tietz, formerly of the Denver Brewers, reportedly called a players-only team meeting to try to air things out and try to get everyone back on the same page. Interestingly, their are no obvious malcontents among the Falcons players. But continuous losing can turn otherwise harmonious clubhouses toxic, and there isn't a great deal of leadership on the Falcons roster outside of Tietz.
It will be interesting to see if the backup first baseman can help guide his team out of the rocky waters they are currently in.
