Top of the First:
Perry Templet strikes out. Dennis Webb grounds out to 3rd. Dale Ainsworth takes a 3-2 pitch for ball 4. He steals 2nd. Howard McNeal swings at a 3-2 pitch and misses...
Bottom of the First:
For the second game in a row, Dwight Marshall tries to bunt his way aboard to lead off the game, but he is not successful this time, 1-3. Mike Francoeur flies out to left. Rick Ingledue flies out to deep left. 1-2-3!
Top of the Second:
New Pitcher: Jeff Haynes (28-L). Apparently, Tony Sierra is injured. That stinks. Sierra was stinky, but this new guy has not allowed a run yet this season. Or a walk. Gary Long leads off with a double and goes to 3rd on a single by Randy James. With 1 out, Haynes uncorks a wild one and he has now allowed a run this season! 1 to 0, Beavers! That is all we get, though.
Bottom of the Sixth:
Dwight Marshall leads off with a line drive to right for a hit. We get the Bullpen up. Mike Francoeur bunts him over to 2nd. Rick Ingledue singles to right and Marshall stops at 3rd. Going to the Bullpen would be smart here, but I never like to pull a guy until he has given up a run... Jim Thut flies out to center and Marshall holds at 3rd, but Ingledue is caught being a spectator at 1st and Perry Templet doubles him off base!!!
Bottom of the Seventh:
Roberto Rodriguez leads off with a single and steals 2nd. PH Don Morse (26-L), who is 1 for 14 with a HR on the season, walks. Miguel Cintora bunts the runners up and Jerry Walker plates a run with a fly ball. 1 to 1, all tied up. PH Juan Reyna (33-L) is announced and we go to the Bullpen: Jerry Wilhelm (32-L). They leave Reyna in there and he strikes out!
Top of the Ninth:
Still tied at 1 apiece.
New Pitcher: Ron Singerman (27-R), their closer, who is another reliever of theirs who has not yet allowed a run or a walk this season. He strikes out the first two and then PH Gordon Saunderson (26-L) beats out an infield hit. Perry Templet then beats out another infield hit! But C Dave Benya grounds out to 2nd to end the inning.
Bottom of the Ninth:
New Pitcher: Antonie Redd (30-R), who has not pitched in over a week. Is he fresh or rusty? He strikes out Jim Thut, looking fresh, but then Roberto Rodriguez singles up the middle. A passed ball moves the runner to scoring position... We walk 3B Marcos Falcon intentionally. Miguel Cintora lines a hit to right and that is the ball game....

RHP Ron Singerman (W 3-0) pitched a scoreless 9th, giving us 2 hits and striking out 2.

For the Twins, 1B Roberto Rodriguez had half of their hits (3), stole a base and scored both of their runs.
