We keep getting to .500, but then cannot get over the hump.

Portland Beavers (8-9 .471 2 GB in 4th place in the PCL West) at

POR: Frank Martin (26-R 2-1 1.59 ERA) vs. SEA: Jesse Marszalek (24-R) major League debut

Marszalek is another call up from AA. Maybe they forgot they have a AAA team? Editor's Note: I doubled checked to make sure I did not screw up in setting up the League. They have Tacoma as their AAA affiliate. He did not even start a game in AA, but pitched 1 game in relief and gave up 3 hits and a home run in 2 innings. Dave Dafoe says his stuff is super nasty, but he has no clue as to where the ball is going when he lets it go.

If we do not break our streak of 6 games in a row with 3 or fewer runs scored, I am going to go ballistic.

Glenn Pearce take a 3-2 pitch for ball 4. Bases loaded back up with 2 outs. Gary Long draws a walk to force in a run. 2 to 0, Beavers! Dave Lesley grounds out to short. Well, that is fewer runs than we should have scored with the bases loaded and no outs, but I am not eating my hat.

Randy Hobson hits an 0-2 pitch off the wall in center for a triple... John Haynes fouls out to 3rd. Mark Fenik flies out to right, fairly deep, but the speedy Hobbs holds at 3rd. Thanks! Randy Dengler grounds out to 2nd! Awesome!

With 2 outs, Dennis Webb doubles to left and then Dale Ainsworth triples off the left center field wall! 3 to 0, Beavers! Jeff Austin, our awesome cleanup hitter, strikes out again... Well, we have made it to our 3 run ceiling and have 7 innings to try and bust through the roof...
