Tim Hudson
Thursday 5/13/2004: Huge blow for Oakland's Hudson, career over
OAKLAND - It was one of baseball saddest days. Oakland's right-hander Tim Hudson fell victim to a career ending injury in a game against Detroit on Thursday. He complained about pain after throwing a pitch to Bobby Higginson, then suddenly collapsed. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Torn Ligament Elbow which will require surgery. In 9 starts this year Tim struck out 58 batters in 66 innings of work. His ERA is 3.55, his record 2-3. His career featured a record of 82-36 with an ERA of 3.28. Baseball will certainly miss this great player.
