22 of the 24 franchises have been claimed and I'm currently looking for two solid owners to fill the Cardinals and White Sox. I am, along with present owners, hammering out the details to our rules and we're currently in the pre-season. If you'd like a chance to start a team and league from the ground up, please stop by.

In addition to signing up on the board, please send an application to the following e-mail address:
plb_commish@tippin.org Let me know which teams you are interested in as there may, quite possibly, be more who want in than there are spots available. Tell me as much about yourself and your OOTP experience as you can. Thanks!
"On August 12, 1994, the MLB stopped play as owners and players could not come to a labor agreement, thus calling for a strike. Both sides hoped a solution would be reached quickly, but the days turned into weeks and the weeks dragged into months. On February 16, 1995, the MLB collapsed as owners filed for bankruptcy.
A group of 24 businessmen and philanthropists created a new baseball league on March 1, 1995 - the PLB. Disgusted on how the country's national past time became scorned by society at large, they moved quickly to undo the damage Major League Baseball's owners had done.
MLB teams were saved to maintain familiarity among the public and assure a quick transition to the PLB. Franchises in Toronto, Milwaukee, California, Florida, Montreal, Colorado and San Diego could not be saved, however, as new ownership could not be found for those existing markets. Three new franchises were in turn added to the initial 21 as the Portland Ravens, Washington Eagles and Las Vegas Aztecs were created."

Commish note: My name is Matt, many call me Tipps, I'm 23, in graduate school, and have been involved in OOTP leagues for nearly two years. I helped create the Hickory Baseball League (HBL) and still remain as Chairman there.
