It's not too big... For one, some players can refuse assignment off the 40-man... and it's not as bad as some of the other loopholes, since the guy does clear waivers first. Besides, the quote above does not necessarily mean that "Players with big league contracts must remain on the 40-man roster at all times". If that's what Markus meant for the game to do, he should have added code to check for that when you try to remove someone from the 40-man, not just when you try to move them from DFA to the minors.
