Did you remove him from the waivers box? He has to be in the Waivers box as "CLEARED!" at the moment you want to do a transaction that requires waivers... that's why the AI teams always have a million guys listed in their Waivers box (and you should too!)
Maybe we're not doing exactly the same thing... so lemme try again:
Player is in the DFA box and has a Big League Contract, as well as in the Waivers box as "CLEARED!"
1) Drag from DFA to the 40-man roster
2) Drag from DFA to the minor league roster
3) Drag from the 40-man to the white box
Always works for me, and after trying it just now, it still works for me, so I dunno what else to say.
