STANLEY WRIGHT (photo in other thread)

Hometown - Portland, Maine

12(12)-11-0

Wright put together a decent career for a local fighter. His main claim to fame was handing Peter McNeeley his first pro loss in a bout for the New England Heavyweight Title. That fight was stopped to due to cuts suffered by McNeeley and Wright promptly lost the title in a bout with the unimpressive Juan Quintana. He did however avenge the loss to Quintana with a sixth round KO in a later bout for the Massachusetts title.

In search of a few bucks and resigned to his place within the heavyweight world order, Wright served as a record padder to Henry Akinwande and Michael Grant at the end of his career.
