i was just imaging this the other day when i was in a amateur draft. i was thinking how cool it would be that maybe around the same time as the amateur draft the game should have a period to sign Latin American players, Japanese players, & austrilian players since those generally aren't in the amataur draft (which is just for players in the US). My idea was maybe having a screen come up that has a map & the ootp player could click on different countries (Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Japan etc) & scout different prospects & then sign players. i'm not sure how it would work but there should be a larger risk for the scouting reports to be incorrect. Also involving Japan, the game should only bring in Japanese created player when they have already spent their time in Japan (i'm not sure but i think they need 7 yrs in Japan league before they can come over). The Japense players should just be in the FA section of the offseason. It will give the chance for the player to decide if they need a middle reliever or something that they should take a chance on a japense pitcher or just stick with regular mlb players.
