Just to add another data point here... Under XP SP1, I installed DX 9.0c and OOTP 6.11 crashed in two out of three games played (in a test league, momma didn't raise no dummy

). Then I used System Restore to revert to DX 9.0b and played three games with no problems.

I don't have the guts to do the same with SP2, though.
