Stuck on 6/10/2007

My season is stuck on June 10, 2007. I can not play (or simm) the last game of the day. It's my Mets (human managed) vs. Oakland –first inter league game scheduled. All other computer played games for that date are complete.

I have progress this team since 2000 without a glitch. Trying to get past this date however has been impossible. I get a frozen screen or windows dialog box stating "ootp6.exe has caused an error sorry for the inconvenience" Hah!

I'm using ver 6.11 on an Athlon 2700 board with a gig memory. In checking the system usage - once I try to play this game my CPU usage tops out at 100% and the crash is on.

I have tried:
Running scan disk,
Run without my firewall or AV programs.
I have updated my video and audio drivers (after the crash had occurred),
Restored the registry to a previously known good date.
Downloaded a new version & Restored the league to another drive,
Minimized all back ground processes.
Configured the game to game to run without sound or 3D.
Check player files/rosters.
I was able to play and simm an "exhibition game" without a problem.
Prayer
Ran the game under 6.10
Ran the game under window domain drivers only.
Minimized all AI functions as best I could.
Noticed I still could make line-up, pitching , player transactions and trading functions.
Run the AV scan

I can not trace the error to anything my machine did, i.e. Abnormally shutoff
or otherwise crash.

Any thoughts? I'm 43 & 16 at his point & really need to move on with life..

Thanks
