Rain Delay with actual effect on game!!

Perhaps this has already been written about...and/or perhaps many of you have already experienced the effect of a rain delay on a game...
I had been under the impression previously that there were no consequences of rain delays in the ootp game engine (maybe that was just ootp 5)
Anyway, I just had a rain delay in the top of the 4th inning while playing at Wrigley Field.
After the rain delay, in the bottom of the 4th, my starting pitcher became fatigued after throwing only 58 pitches on the day (his endurance is 8/10 and hadn't pitched in 4 days...usually not tired until at least around 100 pitches...so, he must have had his arm stiffen up on him due to the rain delay)
Then, in the top of the 5th, the Chicago starter hit the 58 pitch mark and also became "tired" (his endurance is 8/10 too)
