Its been my experience (not generalizing, just sharing what I've seen) that the people that told me that nobody can change were people too lazy to attempt to change. They would defend their actions by saying that its the way they are and they can't change. I truly believe that if you want to better yourself and you see a weakness, you can overcome your weakness and change your personality. As for me, it was my temper (especially when golfing). Used to cuss a blue streak on the golf course and throw clubs etc. I've learned that anger does more harm than good and now I'm a very easy going person that is hard to anger. It took effort, but I made a permanent change in my life and no I'm not the same person I was.
