I basically scout the players myself, based on not just overall stats but analysis of them. It puts me at a distinct disadvantage and makes the game far more challenging. I know what to look for. I know to look for pitchers who are outperforming their expected numbers based on the number of strikeouts and homeruns allowed. I know to look for batters who get on base a lot. I'll look at how balanced guys are between facing lefties and righties. Basically, it puts me at the same level I would be at as a fan of a real team trying to evaluate players myself, without the help of scouts.

I don't always play this way, but when I do , it's a lot of fun.
