What a great, exciting series. Every game decided by three or fewer runs. I think the World Series should be interesting. Obviously I'm frustrated by the fact that 2004 will rank alongside 1980 and 1986 among monumental Astro failures. I've followed the team for 18 years, 10 of them since I've moved from Houston. After Bagwell and Biggio retire, there will be no one left from the days when as a kid I listened to the games on the radio every night. When that day comes, my ties of loyalty with the team will loosen somewhat, and my interest in major league baseball will fade. However, it was good to see one more almost superhuman attempt at glory for these guys.
