But they barely squeezed in the playoffs, and losing Kent would be huge. Bagwell is turning useless quickly. If the Munro and Redding innings can be replaced by Miller and Pettitte innings, it might help offset the loss on offense.
If they couldn't keep Beltran, these probably wouldn't matter anyway.
Right now, Beltran is probably looking for a long term deal. Would that make sense since Clemens and Bagwell are going to be useless in one or two years?
