(NOTE: It's definitely an AI issue and not an "accounting" issue, as I issued an intentional walk in one of my five million test leagues, and now there's one batter with one IW listed in League Leaders.

What was wrong with it was the AI used it (a) too much and (b) in fairly stupid situations. So apparently it got fixed too well.
However, IMHO, given a choice between zero AI intentional walks and the ridiculously dumb IW strategy seen in 6.03, I'd take the former. (This is probably the minority opinion, I know.
)
