Maybe Babe will come down and throw 6 shutout innings and hit a couple homers for us Yankee fans and restore our faith in "the curse".

And more specifically its been bad starting pitching, the bullpen was greatly overworked both during the season and during the postseason. They have pretty much always been weak in long/middle relief but in year's past their starters were usually good enough to give them 6/7 solid innings leading straight to the great set-up men they have had over the years and a dominant closer.
