Yeah, but there'd probably be a way to make it so you could disable those types of things in the game if you want to play strictly by numbers.
But as for me, I'm all for stuff like that. To borrow another sports video game company's slogan - "If it's in the game, it's in the game."
I think sometimes guys should get upset if you try to trade them (i.e. Nomar), thus causing friction in the clubhouse until you actually do trade him. And there should be some Milton Bradleys and Frank Franciscos, and - dare I say - John Rockers!
It'd also be cool to impliment some team rivalries (Boston/New York, St. Louis/Chicago, S.F./L.A., etc.) and have them affect the game as well. I could go on and on.
