need opinions on player dev. dilemma

I have an potential stud Rookie player (R. Sturgis, 25 yrs old) with "Good" in Avg (6), "Brilliant" in HR's (9) and "Good" in both BB & Ks (6,6). He plays 1B with a C range & .993 fld %. I already have a 29 yr old All-Star 1B (K. Orris, .350, 50 HR 150 RBI each year) that I have signed until he dies. I am weak at 3B so I played Sturgis at 3B. 39 games and he still has no 3B ratings. So, during ST the next year I spend the points to train him @ 3B. Guess what? Sturgis doesn't make the transition to 3B.

Would you:
(a) Keep playing Sturgis at 3B (with the .940 default fld%) and hope he learns it
(b) Trade Sturgis for a 3B with similar talent (I'll have to pay big $$'s)
(c) Keep Sturgis at 1B and trade the All-Star, Super-Human, Irreplaceable 1B for a 3B with similar talent
(d) Keep Sturgis at 1B and play Orris at 3B (with the .940 default fld%) and hope he learns it.

Thanks in advance! :-)
