Well I had a doozy last night. Pitcher wanted $8.25m for 7 years. In order to try to lock him up quickly and painlessly (I really need this guy) I offer $12.5 million -- or 50% more -- for the same seven years. He won't even accept the offer and sends me a message FYI - your offer isn't even close to what I'm looking for.

Turns out that, with a little testing, the lowest amt he'll take is $20m a year for seven years. Then why is he asking for $8.25m a year?? Does that make any sense? We could go the entire FA period and no one will probably be able to afford that, and if I hadn't simmed ahead, we'd never know...

That's gotta be part-and-parcel of the $301k bug...
