Darryl's first month in St. Louie gave mixed results. With a .242 average and 6 homers, Darryl isn't the next Stan the Man at this pace by any means. The next Joe Torre, perhaps.

The Royals have struck gold with 25-year old Ken Howell. Howell has played for 2 full seasons. 2 Cy Youngs. 3 All Star Appearences. Taken in the 3rd round by Kansas City, Howell has been by far the most productive player in the 1984 draft. Howell is 14-1 with a 2.08 ERA.
