Being a JAVA developer by day and php hacker by night, I was wondering what environment your planning to use? Servlet based, Applets.

Supporting a Java web environment is a harder find then one for PHP. I seriously considered do just what you are trying to do. Especially since I love open source. See OOTP-ANT script post. But the problem I saw was that if you write it as a servlet there really is no good way to support that environment in a cost effective way. 2) Write it as a applet .. well I don't like applets so I did not even consider that.

I have been working, when able to, on things to add to BOSI.. I am calling them commishtools. Just getting started on that venture. My plan here is to bring together the coding community and host php scripts that folks want to share.

Check out commishtools.ootp.us. Of course depend on your ideas I might jump ships but again. Most hosters(ISP) do not support JAVA Application.

I am seriously considering a CATO based History utility that is not just static files but smaller and dynamically built. But that is a tough task too.
