Season Opener 1933
Opening Day Roster - 1933
Pitching Staff
Starters
Barney Cordova (opening day starter)
Kevin Chambers
Richard Davis
Clement Jarboe - the 5 star left-handed rookie.
#5 starter I gave to Donald Gebhardt over the other rookie Gary Maillet and Nolan Peters. I want Gary to get regular work and as a 5th starter he would get skipped a lot in the season.
Relievers
Augustine Spates - Hoping to pick up where his rookie year left off
Arthur Freshour
Jarrod Feinstein - the FA pickup
Justin Bozarth
James Bernardini
Bill Rish
Catchers/Infielders
Catchers
Jason Sin
Harold Fox
Infielders
Timothy Crepeau - 1B of the future (and now also it seems) will start off platooning with Sprouse but should get the job quickly.
Billy Sprouse - 1B
Leslie Aaron - 2B
Bernard Blanc - 2B RF
Kenton Smith - SS
Louis Ranney - SS
Bill Daggett - 3B May not be around for too long. He and Louis are the two most in danger of being 'upgraded.'
Johnson O'Brien - 3B
Outfielders
Arlie Whyte - LF
Archie Chapman - LF Arlie will start vs RH and Archie vs LH
Jeffrey Knight - CF his great production in limited time (.299-8-41 in under 200 AB's) got him this shot.
Michael Price - RF
Season Opener
Roughnecks 5, Lawmen 4
Jason Sin came through in a big way with a 2 run pinch-hit homerun in the 8th. Jarrod Feinstein got the win in his first action as a Roughneck. Arlie Whyte went 2-3 with a 2B and RBI in his first game for Detroit.
A great way to start the year!!!
