The Devil Rays have come back down to Earth after starting the season on a tear with a four game sweep of the Yankees. A series win against the slumping Red Sox could keep the season going and make them a legitamate contender this year, at least for the time being. A loss in this series will put them further out of the playoff picture in a division fight that is heavily matched against them. Their road woes have been made magnified by the inability of their pitching to hold the lead. Fortunately, both Jeff Suppan and Victor Zambrano will miss this series as neither has pitched well lately. Recently signed Greg Colbrunn (.167 avg w/ ARI) has been added to the roster in place of Robert Fick to give some boost to a sluggish middle of the lineup.
