I guess I'm more of a gambler
The gains for me have far outweighed the negatives so far.
Another one that you can do. If you play in a DH league and happen to have DH only hitters, steal all their defense points and apply them elsewhere. They obviously won't lose anything. I had 4 DH's in my minor league system and didn't realize to do this little trick for 2 years. I wanted to kill myself when I figured it out
