if you download the ORIGINATOR from http://www.pt-sports.com/OOTP this one adjusts names and origins based on the settings you chose..
I keep seeing someone saying that this program needs an origins only option, and someone replies with telling them to download DAVWMS ORIGIN GENERATOR from the download center.. then someone else says that the program needs an origins only setting..
There are 2 programs:
DAVWMS ORIGIN GENERATOR only adds city names to the OOTP generated origins.
OOTP6 ORIGINATOR will modify names and origins of players that currently have origin that are OOTP generated.
Once you run either of these programs, those players will not get changed again by either of these programs...

Ummmm... I must be dense (being a Cubs, Bills
and Sabres fan being evidence of that fact), but I just downloaded "d Origin Generator.zip" from OOTPDownloadCenter and "OOTP_Originator.zip" from PT-Sports, and they
look identical. Same filesizes, same date/time stamps on all the files they contain.
I don't deny that there are two different programs... I mean, if you wrote them, you'd know it

... but there doesn't seem to be two different programs available at the moment.
I admit that I thought the "Origin Generator" and "Originator" were one and the same; maybe JoeRock thought that too and replaced one with the other?
(As an aside, in the new Originator download, the updated origin data files are not in /OriginData but in the "root" of the zip. Don't they have to go in the OriginData folder to be used?)
