Well Hogs fans I’m mighty sorry about yesterday’s column, I guess I should have knocked on wood or somethin’. This has to be the most depressin winning streak I’ve ever seen. The Hogs won the game yesterday but lost lefty George Fulkerson, one of the two reliable pitchers in the rotation for six weeks. Maybe the winning will keep up at least but without Fulk or Rivas I don’t see how.

HOGS NOTES:
The two injuries in two days have led to call ups from Greenville. John Baillargeon was the first to go north. Picked up off waivers from St. Pete he was hitting .302 with 12 homers and 41 walks between Orlando and Greenville. John made is season debut going 1-4 yesterday and is expected to share time with Anotucci and Ullman. The next day the team called up Paul Abell, a righthanded starter. Paul, selected with the 45th pick in the expansion draft had been doing a bangup job for Greenville going 6-5 with a 2.59 era. He was not quite as lucky last year going 2-11 with a 5.82 era for LA. Abell is expected to be a long reliever with Austin Koon moving back to the rotation.
