Well, I've always liked Dizzy Dean. An injury cut his career a little shorter than it could have been. It was cool - we bought my grandfather's house, a house that has been in my family off and on for 50+ years. Anyway, I was cleaning out the attic and came across some newspapers from the 30s and 40s. Aside from some eerie articles about Germany's new leader Adolph Hitler (before the events that led to WWII), there were also some great articles in the sports section about Dizzy Dean returning from injury.
