For instance, in my current season, my team is 93-41 overall. I play one game per week (sometimes I just sim the entire week), and in those games I've played, I'm 8-8. It seems when i play the games out, all the "fluke" and "cheap" things happen that don't occur when just simming, such as constant 2-out hits by the computer, or my ace closer not being able to get out a single batter, or my offense being dominated by a below average starter. It seems when I sim, the game generates results based on "ratings" alone. When I play the game out, all of a sudden the "unlucky" events take place.

But the weird thing is, when I have a mediocre or slightly above average team "on paper", my record is the opposite. I tend to dominate games when I play them out, but my team struggles at .500 when I sim games.

Maybe my strength is coaching a crappy team and making them a contender, rather than coaching a contender and making them a World Series champ.
Fixed that for ya.
