BOSI v2 Release Date

We will release BOSI v2(only works with v6) no later then end of day Sunday July 11th.

Features include:

-- New professional design based on style sheets so fonts and colors should be easily customizable.
-- Front end generator with story submitter
-- New team page with more information then v1
-- Draft utility with 4 levels of sorts (you can sort players by Speed, then by contact rating, then age for example) giving you more power to scout the pool. This utility will also work for initial drafts and snake draft orders.
-- Player page has v6 information (new ratings, Rule V eligible, etc)
-- Optimized import routine. We've eliminated 40,000+ queries from the import routine, which speeds it up BIG TIME.
-- New interface for the import routine. You can now see the import progress.
-- Initial setup of the database is now handled in 1 step. We've automated the initial setup, so after you've uploaded the files, created the DB, and created the league record, all you need to do is press Initial Setup on the importer. It'll do everything in the DB needed to get your league ready to rock and roll.
-- Has been in beta testing for about 3 weeks now so hopefully all of the major bugs have been squashed.

What isn't in there yet
-- Upgrade from v1 to v2. We need about a week to get that script finished and fully tested. When we release this, remember to back up your DB before you run it just in case.
-- Player history pages.
-- Trade utility.
-- League level reports
-- Some team pages (Stadium for example)
-- Block management (Right now, you can't control what blocks show up and where. That will change in v2.01 or v2.02).
-- Old engine rating support.

What's planned for the future
-- Whatever you can come up with We need to get the "what isn't there yet" list knocked out first, but we don't plan on stopping there. We hope to have BOSI up to the point where you don't need to upload the HTML files the game generates, as well as provide as many utilities as we possibly can.

What's different

Support will no longer be free. You can download, install and use BOSI free of charge as always. However, if you need our help with anything, we ask that you sign up for a support plan. We will be rolling out 4 different plans:

Free
You can log an issue you are having on the global community forum. Of course, issues and enhancement requests posted in this manner will be of lower priority then the ones made by paid support members. However, this does not mean that your requests will be ignored. What is not covered under this plan is:

Us logging into your server to determine what is causing a problem
Live chat questions

Basic -- $4.95/month
This plan will include the following:

Access to our bug logging system -- When you encounter an issue, you can go to the bug logging system and see if the issue has already been logged. If it hasn't, you can log it there. We will keep this system up to date with what issues we are currently working on and what is done and will be in the next patch.

Access to a members only forum -- This forum will allow you us to discuss enhancement requests, ask advice on the future of BOSI, and just about anything else we can think of.

Access to the development environment -- Be the first to see new features being developed for BOSI. Make suggestions and requests before the feature is released to the public, and have say in the direction BOSI takes.

2 hours/month of individual support -- We will log into your system to determine what is causing an error and give you support on questions that are specific to your setup.

Auto Patch -- $6.95/month
With this plan, we will upgrade your individual setup every time we release a patch. We will need a FTP account, as well as the login information on how to get to PhPMyAdmin (or whatever your host is using to manage the DB).

Basic & Auto Patch -- $9.95/month
Sign up for both plans, and receive a special price.

I want to re-iterate that BOSI still costs nothing to download and use. However, I spent so much time supporting BOSI v1 that we felt we needed to implement these support plans for v2.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
