Don't know how I missed your version of Ben Brown. Sorry to have duplicated your efforts.
With all due respect, though, I think my version may be a little closer to the historical fighter. According to Boxrec, Brown was 42-15-5 over his career with 23 knockouts (he himself was knocked out five times).
I play-tested our two versions against every light heavyweight, middleweight, and welterweight that I've got. (Over 700 fighters at all levels.)
Ben Brown, rated 9 by me, averaged 46-13-2 with 29 knockouts and seven stoppages suffered. Brown, rated 4 by you, averaged 29-29-3 with 13 knockouts and 14 stoppages suffered.
For what it's worth, both of our versions lost to Ken Overlin and beat Teddy Yarosz.
Perhaps 9 is a little high for Brown--there are probably not enough tomato cans and club fighters in my universe--but 4 strikes me as too low for him. What do you think?
